Stijn Gisquière studied architecture for a couple of years at Sint-Lucas Institute in Ghent, but changed course and graduated in June 2001 as a Master in Visual Arts at Luca School of Arts in Brussels, having specialized in graphic design, multimedia, illustration and comic art.

Since September 2003 Stijn has been teaching the Illustration and Comic Art Course at the Academy of Visual Arts in Ghent and has been publishing illustrations, cartoons and other graphics for diverse media.

Stijn's comic strips have appeared in magazines throughout Europe, while on several occasions his graphic shorts participated in exhibitions both in Belgium and abroad. In 2003 and 2005 his first two albums, entitled “Paradise On Earth 1 & 2“ were published, to be followed by the complete “Paradise On Earth”, including part 3, in 2015.

Beside art and photography, travelling is Stijn's passion. The online selection of his travel photos shows the diversity and beauty of landscapes, people and cultures of more than 75 countries he visited.
